2PM appointed the new Mr. Pizza Models

2pm has recently added pizza to their CF lineup by being appointed the new Mr. Pizza models.

On December 6, a representative from Mr. Pizza explained, “2pm is a hallyu world star that matches the image of Mr. Pizza’s global brand. 2PM’s overflowing energy also matched well with advertising our features”.

MBC’s Section TV also went behind the scenes for 2pm’s Mr. Pizza CF where the boys ate pizza and became rock stars.

At one point the CF director asks 2pm members Nichkhun and Wooyoung, “How can you make the pizza look more delicious?”.

Nichkhun replied, “First of all, you have to open your eyes wide. When you eat it you have to..”, and goes on to imitate a very shocked expression.

SNSD successfully completes their Singapore concert

SNSD successfully completed their first solo concert in Singapore.

The ’2011 Girls’ Generation Tour in Singapore’ was held on December 9th and 10th in a large scale indoor stadium with 20,000 fans.

On December 11th, SM Entertainment stated, “This concert was sold out 4 hours after ticket sales opened up. There was such an overwhelming response that one more day was added to the original concert date. SNSD’s global power was once again evidenced through this concert, as this was the first time that a Korean female artist held their own individual concert in Singapore.”

The girls kicked off the concert by emerging from behind a magic lamp and launched into their hit song “Tell Me Your Wish” – exciting fans from the very start. They followed with other hits songs like “Mr. Taxi”, “Kissing You”, “Oh!”, “Gee”, “Into the New World”, “The Boys”, and more. Each member also held various solo performances, bringing up the total to 32 songs.

According to SM Entertainment, the fans chanted during the performance of “The Boys”, “‘SNSD is now, SNSD is the future, SNSD forever” in Korean – heating up the atmosphere even further.

With the successful completion of the ‘Girls’ Generation Tour’ in Singapore as well as Korea, Japan and Taiwan, the girls will be moving onto Hong Kong on January 15th, 2012.

Former U-KISS member Alexander holds a Japanese showcase

Former U-KISS member Alexander met his fans for the first time in a year through a showcase in Japan.

At the showcase, Alexander performed Hyun Bin‘s “That Man” (from the ‘Secret Garden‘ soundtrack) as well as his new Japanese tracks like “Oh Baby” and “I’m JUST“.

“I studied Japanese in college, and I have a lot of interest in Japanese culture,” Alexander said. “I want to increase my Japanese skills even more and spread my Japanese activities ever farther.”

He continued, “Although I’m very nervous without my U-KISS members, I’m happy that I got to meet with my fans after such a long time.”

B1A4 draws 1,000 fans to their first Japanese showcase

Rookie group B1A4 is preparing for their Japanese debut and began off-shore promotions on a successful note by drawing over 1,000 fans to their first showcase.

The boys performed nine of their tracks to a rapt audience, including their debut song, “O.K“, as well “Beautiful Target“.

At the press conference, leader Jinyoung talked about their Japanese promotions. “We want to show our skills in Japan as well,” he said. Fellow member Gongchan agreed, “We will work hard in Japan to win the rookie award here, as well.”

Contracted with famous talent company Pony Canyon, B1A4 is scheduled to officially debut in Japan in summer next year. Prior to their debut, however, they will release a compilation album of their first two Korean releases, “Let’s Fly” and “It B1A4“, on January 25th.

Trailer released for ‘Koala Kid’ feat. SHINee’s Taemin & SNSD’s Sunny

SHINee‘s Taemin and SNSD‘s Sunny have lent their voices for the upcoming animated film, ‘Koala Kid: Birth of a Hero‘.

Taemin will voice-act as the main character, ‘Johnny’, a circus koala who’s suddenly thrown into the role of an unexpected hero. Though he was once an outcast, he makes friends with the beautiful and courageous ‘Miranda’ (Sunny), along with other animal friends in their quest to save the natural habitats of Australia.

The movie will be released in January of next year. In the meantime, check out its trailer below!

Cha Seung Won snaps a photo with SNSD at ’2011 Style Icon Awards’

Actor Cha Seung Won brought back that infamous ‘Dokko Jin’ charm in his photo with SNSD‘sSooyoung and Seohyun.

The photo was taken at the 2011 Style Icon Awards on December 3rd. Cha Seung Won and his makeup artist Lee Kyung Min beamed happily for the camera, while the two girls shared shy smiles.

Interestingly enough, Sooyoung is known to have attended elementary school with Cha Seung Won’s son.

Netizens commented, “It’s as if they took a photo with their friend’s father“, “SNSD look like princesses“, “Cha Seung Won is the most adorable” and “SNSD drew out Dokko Jin!”
