Korea’s Grammy Awards, the Golden Disk Awards was held for the first time overseas in Osaka, Japan. The 26th edition of the Golden Disk Awards ceremonies was a two-day event held at the Kyocera Dome last week.
The first night was dedicated to physical album sales, with Super Junior taking home the big award of the night. Super Junior’s Lee Teuk and Kara’s Gyuri hosted the night’s show. The full list of winners for the two nights are here and here.
New cable channel jTBC aired the awards ceremonies in place of its Thursday music program, “Music on Top.” The first part aired on January 19, with the second part expected the next week.
